Chen Xiangyan was born in 1976 in Hainan Province, China. In 2001, he attended an advanced study class on oil painting in Guangzhou Fine Art Institute Oil Painting Department. He specialized in the study of the western classic style of oil painting techniques and material. In 2008, he graduated from Hainan Normal University, Oil Painting Department with a BA in Fine Art.

Xiangyan’s work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and galleries in China, Southeast Asia and America. He is a member of Haikou Oil Painter’s Association and a member of Hainan Artists’ Association.

Xiangyan is now a professional artist living in Haikou, Hainan with his wife and newborn son.
