LI DONGMING
李东鸣
Li Dongming was born in 1954 in Sichuan, China.
Education
He graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Southwest Normal University in 1979. He is currently a professor at Sichuan Fine Art Institute and a member of the Chinese Artists Association.
Collections
Li Dongming’s paintings are collected by art collectors, art galleries and museums worldwide. He has won many major awards in China and Asia. His paintings are also published and critiqued by art journals, newspapers and art magazines in China and overseas.
The Mandarin Fine Art Gallery’s collection of his work features Chinese minorities that live in the Liangshan area, in Southwest China. In this series, the artist depicts life in its natural and simple way with profundity and simplicity. The images are simple and natural, they transcend time and space, and remind us of what life once was.
