ZHAO KAILIN BIOGRAPHY

	ZHAO KAILIN

Zhao Kailin was born in December 1961, in Bengbu, China. He graduated from Central Art Academy in Beijing in 1991.

Kailin lived in Stockholm, Sweden from 1992-1994, where he started creating oil paintings.

Mr. Zhao immigrated to Los Angeles, California in 2003 and became a member of the Portrait Society of America.

EXHIBITIONS

1992 Held solo oil painting exhibition themed "From the East" in Stockholm, Sweden
1993 "Zhao Kailin's New Realism oil painting" exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden
1994 "Zhao Kailin's Realism Oil Painting across Northern Europe Region" exhibition caused a stir among the society and the collectors.
1994 Oil painting "Lake", won 2nd prize at "Asian Art Exhibition" in Tokyo, Japan
1995 Entered "Asian Art Show" in Hong Kong
1995 "The Song of May" entered Christie's Spring Auction, London
1995 “Xiaoxiao at Studio", entered Christie's Spring Auction, Hong Kong
1997 Invited by "American West and East Coast Culture Foundation”, representing international cultural relations and held an exhibition at Los Angeles, California.
1998-1999 Held some exhibitions in Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Singapore, received much media attention and coverage.
1999 Selected oil painting portraits entered "Art Chicago Exhibition" in Chicago, Illinois.
2000 "The New Journey beyond the Silk Road" Exhibition was held for Kail studio artists, at Utopia Gallery, North Queensland, Cairns, Australia
2000 Oil Painting entered "International Art Toronto Show," Toronto, Canada.
